Until recently, we had planned on using the Monterey Volunteer Fire Department pavilion for our reunion. But due to circumstances beyond our control we were forced to seek an alternative location. Fortunately, we were blessed with a location that we believe will serve our needs even better. That location being the Dalton VFW.
The location has both an indoor facility and the covered pavilion shown in the picture above. Another party will be using one and we will have the other. We will soon know which. They made their reservation a year ago and therefore have first choice.
The indoor facility has handicapped accessible rest rooms that will be available for our use regardless of which facility we use. They will also be providing catering service. We have selected the “picnic package” option that the caterer offers.
An email will soon go out to the family mailing list detailing what the package includes, the cost, method of payment, etc. The facility itself will cost $200 and will be included in each family members portion of the catering fee.
Since all concerned will soon receive an email with more details I will end this post here. I just wanted to let everyone know of the venue change.
